Our organic farm lies directly on the migratory path of the magnificent sandhill crane. These boisterous birds, known for their size and striking appearance, find our delicious farmlands to be the perfect layover spot during their winter migration. Coveted by hunters as the “ribeye of the sky,” they offer an unparalleled hunting experience.

Successfully hunting sandhill cranes requires a few key permits. All hunters must have a Texas hunting license and a Migratory Game Bird Endorsement. A free Federal Sandhill Crane Hunting Permit is also required and can be obtained online or at Texas Parks and Wildlife Department offices. Our property is located in Crane Hunting Zone A, with a season from Oct. 25 to Jan. 25.
Your hunt will take place from a comfortable A-frame blind, where you’ll be set up over a large spread of decoys to attract feeding flocks. The daily bag limit is three birds per person, giving you plenty of opportunities to test your skills. Group size ranges from 4 persons minimum up to 16+, $400 per hunter.
You can expect to see a multitude of birds and experience the thrill of the hunt firsthand.
